Congratulations to the Connecticut Horse Bowl Team!
On August 3, 2010, the Connecticut Horse Bowl Team of Emily Ferjak, Emily Berman, Alyssa Payette, Heather Morrow and Coach Kerri Fortier competed at the American Quarter Horse Association Youth World Show Horse Bowl Contest in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Horse Bowl contest is designed to test the competitors’ extensive knowledge about the horse. Questions are asked from a variety of sources including the AQHA Official Handbook, The Dictionary of Equine Terms, as well as several college-level textbooks about the horse. After months of studying the team from Connecticut became the 2010 AQHyA World Champions, going undefeated throughout the whole contest.
The girls were awarded custom belt buckles, World Champion leather jackets, and a pair of wrangler jeans.
